TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22ND
If you haven’t yet heard of the Top 10 of 2015 week-long event, it’s hosted by Fiktshun, Jaime of Two Chicks on Books, Mindy of Magical Urban Fantasy Reads, and Nancy of Tales of a Ravenous Reader. In a nutshell it’s where readers share their favorite bookish lists over a time period of five days (leaving your post links in the daily Linky Lists).
Each host blog is hosting their own giveaways on four of the five days of this challenge:
- Day One giveaway: Fiktshun
- Day Two giveaway: Jaime of Two Chicks on Books
- Day Three giveaway: Nancy of Tales of a Ravenous Reader
- Day Four giveaway: Mindy of Magical Urban Fantasy Reads
So be sure to check in with each of these blogs this week!
Best Book Covers of 2015*
There were so many beautiful and eye-catching covers in 2015, but it’s impossible to list them all. So below are only ten of my favorites. And while I mostly read contemporary romance, I do read the occasional YA, NA, or Historical, and these three genres always have fabulous colors. YA is especially killing it in the graphic cover department.
- Forget Tomorrow by Pintip Dunn
I mean, just look at it! The colors are bomb, and the wing is a pretty yet dark feature. I love it and this book.
2. Paint My Body Red by Heidi R. Kling
This cover is different from what I normally see, and the vibe is so perfectly what this book is about that I would consider it a major win for the designer.
3. A Pound of Flesh by Sophie Jackson
Ummm. Hello, hottness. You don’t need faces and naked torsos to make a cover hot! All you need is hands, apparently.
4. Coldhearted-Rake by Lisa Kleypas
The colors really catch my eye. I’m not a huge pink-lover, but I like the pop of the pink dress and the pink flowers. I also like the looking over the shoulder look–enticing.
5. Tonight the Streets are Ours by Leila Sales
Obsessedddddd. The typeface, colors, and adventurous aspect is on-point.
6. November 9 by Colleen Hoover
I’ve been really into covers without people on it lately. It’s just a refreshing new look compared to the contact coupling I see on contemporary romances, which I’m not complaining because you all know contemporary romances are my fave.
7. Sweetest Scoundrel by Elizabeth Hoyt
Why hello there, Mr. Magic Hands. The only way this could be better is if a few more of her buttons were undone. *winks…or at least tries to wink*
8. Forever with You by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I feel the connection between these models. And I’m totally envious of their jaw lines and her eyebrows.
9. All I Want by Jill Shalvis
I’m in love with this series, and this book. The couple appears so down-to-earth, and I can never resist a dog on a cover.
10. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
The covers on Rainbow Rowell’s books are always really neat. I’m a fan of the illustrations and bright colors.
*MUST be a book released in 2015. Would be best if it’s a book you’ve READ in 2015, but it’s not required
