Thank you to For the Lover of Books for tagging me in the Summertime Madness Book Tag! I’m really excited to participate! So, here we goooo (imagine me saying that like Peter Pan):
Show a book with a summery cover.
I have not yet read The Summer After You & Me, but it’s sitting on my book shelf just begging me to read it! Look at the beach, water, and birds–definitely a summery cover, which is what attracted me to it in the first place.
Pick one Fictional place that would be the perfect destination for a summer vacation.
Lucky Harbor would be the perfect destination for me! Small town near the water and nature with a surplus of hot alpha men? Yes, please! I’d love to stay in the sisters B&B, too–especially with Tara as the cook! (Only half of the Lucky Harbor series is pictured above.)
You’re about to go on a flight to your summer vacation, but you want to read a book that lasts for the whole flight, what novella do you choose?
Maybe choosing one of the Lucky Harbor novellas would make the most sense since that’s where I would be headed, and it’s probably smart to prepare. But no, I would pick Secret Santa, a Bluegrass series novella. Why? Well, the series is great (again lots of smokin’ alpha men), and I always love to have a little Christmas in the summer. It’s the anticipation of all that comes with the holiday, you know?
You have a case of summertime sadness, what happy book do you pick up to shine a smile on your face?
Waiting for Nick is one of those books that I reread and reread because it makes me happy. Freddie and Nick are so cute together. BUT, be warned if you’re going to read this. It’s much better (necessary, even) to read the series in order. Freddie and Nick grow up together throughout the series. So, you’re not going to want to miss any part of their journey!
You’re sitting on the beach alone… which fictional character would be your beach babe?
I just finished Origin, the fourth book in the LUX series, and I’m starting the fifth and final book ASAP so don’t tell me anything yet! Anyways, this was a hard question to answer, but Daemon is currently the sexy and sweet guy on my mind (just call me a cougar…GRRR…or whatever noise a cougar makes). Plus, he likes to be shirtless, so he’s the perfect beach companion!
To match your ice cream you want an icy cool sidekick! Which fictional side kick do you pick?
There are so many awesome sidekicks in the Fashionably Dead series, but “the Kev,” a male fairy who takes on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s appearance, is the one I would really want by my side. He could teach me some kickass moves all the while making me laugh! (It was a tie between “the Kev,” Pam, and Astrid’s little demon babies.)
